Cataract

Cataract is clouding of the clear lens which is located behind the coloured iris. It presents with blurred or hazy vision, ghost images, changes in colour vision etc.

Cataract Surgery (Phacoemulsification) with Implantation of Foldable Lens under Topical Anaesthesia is required when cataract interferes in your routine desired tasks like reading, driving etc. Postoperatively dark glasses and various eye drops are advised for a few weeks. Surgical outcome depends upon preexisting health conditions like Diabetes, Hypertension etc and any coincident abnormalities of the eye.
